Yoga is a practical science, a practical tool in life. The mirror of how you practice will show up how you are in every day life. When we understand this and begin the journey of change, our lives can transform. We can gain physical, mental, emotional strength and flexibility in addition to a calmed nervous system.

We all struggle with seeing our hidden inner demons...our shadows, myself included. I know through my own engagement, that we can use the teachings and philosophy of Iyengar yoga to help see beyond the obvious in our physical bodies. Through systematic practice and right action in asana we can begin to see how this corresponds to right action in life.

I am passionate about the teachings of Iyengar yoga and the innate wisdom of yoga philosophy  (Patanjali’s Sutra’s), I translate these teachings into my classes,  in a way that is very relevant to life today. Being dyslexic and having suffered acute physical injuries, I know how difficult it can be to work with physical or emotional challenges,  and the dedication needed to work through issues. For me, my practice takes me from the mundane aches and pains to a world beyond my physical restraints. This gives me a full, productive, joyous life. 

My classes are taught in a structured way and are open to all. I teach with warmth, humour and a strength of character that will hold space for you to move deeper into your own practice. Practice is to be enjoyed...just as life is!

My forest studio is situated 10 minutes from Berkhamsted and Tring,  it offers a completely different experience to busy town and city yoga classes. The tranquil environment allows you to engage more fully, connecting mind and body and achieving wholeness. The small class sizes allow me the opportunity to work more individually with you, which can enable you to develop in your practice more quickly.
